1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of ourjamjar.com and the OurJamJar app, provided by TODO: legal entity name and NZBN (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using OurJamJar, you agree to them.

2. What OurJamJar is — and isn’t

OurJamJar is a budgeting and money-tracking tool. It is not a bank, does not hold or move your money, and does not provide financial, tax or legal advice. Projections, tax estimates and scenarios are estimates based on the information available and may be wrong. Consider getting advice from a licensed financial adviser before making financial decisions.

3. Your account

  • You must give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure.
  • You’re responsible for people you invite to your household budget.
  • TODO: minimum age and eligibility.

4. Bank feeds

Bank connections are provided by Akahu under Akahu’s own terms. Access is read-only. We aren’t responsible for delays, gaps or errors in data provided by your bank or Akahu.

5. Fees

TODO: plans, prices, GST, billing cycle, free trial, renewals, refunds and cancellation. You will not be charged without first agreeing to a paid plan.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the service, try to access other people’s data, interfere with its security, or use it for anything unlawful.

7. Your data

You own your data. Our privacy policy explains how we handle it.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep OurJamJar available but can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change features, and we’ll give reasonable notice of significant changes to these terms.

9. Liability

TODO: limitation of liability, and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 / Fair Trading Act 1986 position, to be drafted by a lawyer.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using OurJamJar and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
